That is so incredibly sweet. (My eyes welled up!) I do believe, I do believe, I do Believe!

Note to self: must remember carrots for Easter bunny!

Liz

Yes, I believe she will remember this always. She definitely talked about it quite a bit the next day at school. Someone was very envious! I particularly heard all about the fairy house. It sounded wonderful.

Alicia

I love the little fairy house, with the acorn cups (that's straight out of a Laura Ingalls Wilder book).

My family took the magic idea very seriously. I'll never forget the Christmas that my older brother went up on the roof of our house to mimic the sound or reindeer hooves.

But I was the kid who was always pointing out the holes. "Why were they up there? We don't have a fireplace or a chimney. Why did Santa have plastic boots and a fake beard?"

Don't get me wrong, it was fun. I appreciated that my parents and older siblings went to so much trouble--it was a big fun game. But in my heart of hearts I could never totally buy into it and was really happy when I joined the ranks of the older kids telling stories to the younger ones.

Now that Lars is in his prime fantasy years we have lots of fun with the half eaten cookies and carrots. But I do occasionally notice a glint of skepticism in his eye...

Kosik

What a great idea - I'm sure she will remember it forever. The store looks a bit like a fairy forest, too.

Angela

I can just picture her expression!

I think my kids might need a magic genie lantern. Joseph, especially, is really into magical thinking.

I know, I know. No one is surprised.
